Scéalta Damhsa is Irish for dance stories (scéalta = stories / damhsa = dance). Another word for dance is rince. I am aware that damhsa would be a more modern expression for dance and rince maybe a more accurate expression in the Irish language, but I chose damhsa for the following two reasons:
o In my opinion it flows better when you pronounce it rather than scéalta rince.
o Whereas this project includes Irish traditional dancing, I did not want people not involved in Irish dance traditions think it would be limited to this particular type of dance only, and felt they could find more connection with the word damhsa.
